RESPONSIBILITIES Mission The Business Developer will be instrumental in developing RINA offering of an assigned services portfolio and/or within an assigned geographical coverage Project Drive and monitor the order intake pipeline Updating the pipeline with new prospects to be followed up Lead and providing support on major contracts, tenders and quotations Lead and support contract closing activities and capture lessons learned Work across the RINA Group developing ‘cross selling’ and mutual opportunities Track competitor activity and providing updates on competitor news and intelligence Business Development Be responsible for sales and business development initiatives: focused on new sales and business opportunities, client visits and management Explore opportunities for alliances and partnerships to explore new markets and opportunities Work with the management team to identify potential acquisition opportunities Customer Engage with current and potential customers to discuss and understand their needs and requirements Lead and providing support on major contracts, tenders and quotations Supporting our focus on customer satisfaction, repeat business and developing new markets Stay current with RINA’s current and future offerings and technology solutions, including but not limited to customer tailored tools QUALIFICATIONS 3 to 7 years experience with roles concentrated in Business Development EDUCATION Bachelor’s degree qualified (or equivalent) in Engineering (preferred) or related discipline Building and developing knowledge Specialist expert and building capability in own team (or has influence technical/ professional over others) Change innovation Implement changes Planning andOrganising React to short term priorities and plan activities Results Orientated Ensure you team achieve their goals Business Development Implement BD Activity Customer Service Responsible for complex client requirements Communication and Influence Communicate effectively and influence small groups of people Team work and Leadership Leadinga team/ project OTHER SKILLS Demonstrate a track record of cultivating relationships with clients at every level of the organization Experience of preparing quotations, pre qualifications and tenders Success with writing, appraising and negotiating detailed contracts and commercial Agreements Self-motivated , proactive and open minded personality Strong business attitude, getting things done Outstanding team-player and capability to work with distributed international teams Highdegree of flexibility and capabilities to handle various tasks in parallel includingprioritization Excellent negotiating, communication and interpersonal skills
